simple summer dinner

dinnerIt was an early dinner yesterday, and roasting-hot outside.  I steamed vegetable pot stickers (bought from the store), whisked together my favorite Asian sauce, and tossed a little salad.

Asian Sauce:

2 T soy/tamari sauce
2 T water
1/2 t rice wine vinegar
dash of sweetener – honey, sugar, agave…
couple drops of sesame oil
dash of ginger powder (or fresh grated)
few scallions

Salad:

whole avocado
lots of arugula
cherry tomatoes
tempeh
– homemade citrus vinaigrette

Delicious!! and I shared it with my sweetie.

It was enough food for me to last the night, since I didn’t do anything very active, but he ended up raiding the fridge later in the night.
