there is something about dance images — these skilled, fluid movers are just so inspirational.
much like great athletes, these expressive physical artists find the limits of what we — as human bodies — are capable.
they are somehow, through conscious effort and mindful determination, able to reveal a bit of true spirit.
yet silent, yet mute.
however censored — a glimpse of what is unable to be communicated through other methods.
their unformed passions / fears / insecurities / secrets …
made public through muscle fibers. through the stretching of tendons and extension of bones.
we hear — we comprehend this language that is impossible for us to speak.
language of dance.
